How does DCI involve the public and local stakeholders in planning initiatives?
During a typical planning process, DCI facilitates a public open house, planning workshop, or charrette that allows local residents, businesses, property owners, public officals, and other interested parties to participate in the planning process. Participatory activities are an interactive forum where stakeholders are given the opportunity to review the work completed to date and provide feedback that will ultimately shape the direction of the plan's final recommendations.

If you are interested in participating in local planning and development initiatives conducted by DCI, the dates and times of these meetings are publicized through the local media and the Internet. For specific information about planning efforts in your community, contact your local planning department.

Is DCI accepting resumes?
DCI accepts resumes on a continual basis for professional planning and development staff positions. Resumes are kept on file for six months. Should a position become available for which an applicant is qualified, DCI will initiate contact. It is unnecessary to contact DCI regarding the status of employment opportunities. Open positions are posted on the Employment page.
